Credit: Penny LancasterRod Stewart used to live the sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, but these days, he’s a super-strict dad who’s come up with some creative ways of punishing his kids for not doing what they’re told.
Stewart’s wife, Penny Lancaster, tells the British paper The Daily Mail, “If [Rod’s adult daughters Kimberly and Ruby] bring their dogs into the house and they don’t clean up after them, he has been known to put the poo under their car seats. Rod obsesses about keeping the house in order.”
As for their two sons, 12-year-old Alastair and six-year-old Aiden, Penny says, “The boys have an Xbox room on which [Rod] has put a lock and a cardboard sign which will say things like, ‘No entry. You left the lights on’ or ‘You’ve been rude to Mummy.'”
Lancaster also says that the 73-year-old rock legend is “a very hands-on dad,” adding, “He changed the boys’ [diapers], he does the school run after a year of coming with me so he knew what to do. The boys love it because he will pick them up in a Lamborghini or a Ferrari.”
Penny’s relationship with Rod must be working: Last year, they marked their 10th anniversary with a special party at which they renewed their vows. She tells the paper, “He wanted to renew our vows after two years, then after five years, but I wanted to wait until we’d got to 10. I’m now his wife from his longest marriage and I’m also the oldest woman he’s ever been with.” Lancaster will turn 47 in March.
Prior to his marriage to Penny, Rod was married twice, first to Alana Hamilton and then to Rachel Hunter. Overall, he has eight children with five different women.
