Student Charged with DUI

A Conn College student has been charged with driving under the influence after her car crashed into a scooter on Route 32 in New London. It happened just after midnight. The highway was shut down for several hours following the accident. 19-year-old Sophia Thielman of Rye Brooke, New York was arrested at the scene. The driver of the scooter has been taken to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
