Friday, June 7 Moshe Kasher
Moshe Kasher has been featured on a
variety of programs for today’s best comics, including on NBC’s “Late Night
With Jimmy Fallon” and Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham” and “John Oliver’s New
York Standup Show.” Kasher is also a regular on E!’s popular hit roundtable, “Chelsea Lately.” Named
ITunes “Best New Comedian of 2009,” he hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down.
Kasher has been named “Best of Fest” at Montreal’s “Just for Laughs” Festival, Jamie Foxx’s Laffapalooza and Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival. He has also appeared on VH1 and The Independent Film Channel, as well as at additional other top-notch festivals, including South By Southwest Festival, Sasquatch Festival, Killkenny Ireland’s Cat Laughs Festival, Comedyfest:Vancouver, Bridgetown Comedy Festival and SF Sketchfest.
Friday June 14 – Colin Jost
Born and raised in Staten Island,
NY, Colin Jost is a standup comedian and writing supervisor at the famed
“Saturday Night Live” program, where he’s been a part of the writing staff
since 2005. Jost has also performed on the late night circuit on NBC’s “Late
Night with Jimmy Fallon” and he was featured as a “New Face” at the esteemed
Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival.
For his work on SNL, Jost has earned three Writers Guild of America awards and five Emmy
nominations. He has also served as President of the Harvard
Lampoon. Further proving his skills as an accomplished writer, he has
published pieces for the Huffington
Post and The New Yorker’s “Shouts & Murmurs.”
Friday, June 21 Iliza Shlesinger
Originally from Dallas, TX, Iliza Shlesinger is the only female and youngest comedian to hold the title of NBC'S “Last Comic Standing.” Her television credits include her own half hour special on “Comedy Central Presents,” as well as NBC'S “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and “Last Call with Carson Daly,” Comedy Central's “Live at Gotham,” E!’s “Chelsea Lately” and “The Soup,” and Showtime's “Pauly Shore and Friends” and “Bridging the Gap Comedy Festival.”
Iliza serves as the host of CBS' syndicated comedy dating show “Excused,” which can be seen on VH1 as well as on local channels. She is currently in development for her own late night talk show pilot with VH1, and writes and stars in her comedy news show “The Weakly News” on www.thestream.tv, which has been running for over four years.
Iliza has also been seen on The History Channel, and is featured in the comedy documentary “I am Comic.” Having moved to Los Angeles after graduating from Emerson College, her live stand up resume also includes performing at the coveted Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, hundreds of clubs and colleges, and in various countries for troops overseas.
Friday, June 28 – Robert
Comedian and actor Robert Kelly brings his popular and top-rated “You Know What Dude?” podcast antics to Comix, following recent appearances as Louie CK's brother, Robbie, on FX’s "Louie," as well as on CBS’s drama “NYC 22” produced by Robert DeNiro. His other credits include popular primetime hit, “Law and Order,” the Comedy Central Special "Comics Anonymous," "Comedy Central Presents Robert Kelly," HBO’s "Tourgasm," ABC’s "Jimmy Kimmel Live," and Comedy Central’s "Premium Blend" and "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn."
Kelly is also no stranger to the big
screen, with movie credits including "Ghost Town," "What Doesn't
Kill You," "Children of Invention," "Bachelor No. 2"
and "Good Luck Chuck." He produced and starred in his first short
film, "Cheat,” which debuted at The Tribeca Film Festival, and also has a
book based on the movie.
